7. Junior Playing Information

This page provides our junior players' parents with information regarding all aspects of the Club’s junior cricket.

Membership Details
All junior players and at least on of their parents must be registered as Club members by completing the necessary form on the Club’s website. A junior player can be registered by a parent, who will then manage their child’s account. This is extremely important so that we can continue to keep track of all of our members and communicate with them effectively. The Club no longer accepts paper membership form applications.

Annual Membership Fee
Please read the page providing information on our annual membership fees, by clicking HERE

Match Fee
There are NO match fees for junior games however, for any juniors playing senior cricket, there will be a match fee of £6.

Please log on to the website to view all available kit options for our Mens, Ladies and Junior teams. Alternatively, please go directly to our Club shop kit site which is https://teamwear.nxt-sports.com/shop/countesthorpe-cc

It is a requirement that all juniors playing competitive matches wear a Club shirt.

Training Times
We welcome parents to all training and competitions and value your support. We are keen to try and involve all parents in the Club. The junior coaching is being managed by CEL Sports and the Club’s junior Head Coach is Scott Moore. If you have any questions in relation to the Club’s coaching then please contact Scott at admin@celsports.co.uk

Match days
Junior team matches shall be placed on the Club website under the appropriate teams. The fixtures will include details as to the location and time of the fixtures. Please note the club cannot accept responsibility for getting your child to home or away matches. Arrangements should therefore be made for your child to travel to and from matches.

All teams will be selected by CEL Sports therefore Scott Moore and his team will be in contact with the parents about arranging teams for the junior matches. However, to ensure that teams can be selected, ALL parents are asked to complete their child’s availability. This can be done either on the Club’s website, once logged into their account, or it can be done via the “Pitchero Club App”. Once the teams have been selected they will be published on the website/ app and parents are requested to respond to these selections to confirm whether or not their child is available to play in the game. It is EXTREMELY important that ALL parents undertake this to ensure that selection of the teams runs smoothy for all.

Details of the days of junior matches are set out in the table below:

Kwiks- Friday
Girls- Thursday/ Friday
U11 Incrediball- Friday
U13- Sunday (AM)
U15- Wednesday
U17- Monday

Please note that the Tots and Inclusive teams do not currently play matches.

Volunteering
To avoid having to outsource all aspects of the junior set up (which would increase the cost for all parents), the Club needs the help of a number of parents. For each team, the Club needs at least two volunteers. There are two roles that need to be filled being a Team Administrator and a Match Day Coordinator.

For more information on each of these roles please review the Task Descriptions which can be viewed on the Club’s website by clicking HERE.

The roles are not extensive and do not require hours of your time so please consider helping. If you would be interested in helping them please speak to Kate Measures who is Lead Junior Team Administrator
