Waddington, Wale and Smith deliver promotion.

Week 21 saw the 2s needing victory to guarantee 2nd place and promotion. Leicester Caribbean’s 2 the away side. A side the 2s defeated in the early winter conditions of April. Ground and pitch looking superb. A toss lost by the away captain Hafejee and inserted by Looms.

Caribbean’s 70 for 1 after 20 overs. All out 96. Waddington and Wale outstanding in a fine fielding performance.

Time for tea. What a beautiful spread on offer. Fine fillings. Spicy chicken. Almost enough nuggets to satisfy Muggleton. Wonderful home baking. Not a sniff of the skippers mums sponge cake left.
