All hail Mcdonald and Waqas.

With Cosby losing the toss Captain Looms wasted little time inserting on a dampish surface. Dyke and Looms taking the new ball in cool windy conditions. First action came in the 2nd over. A run out chance not being taken and buzzers added to the skippers figures. The dangerous Dyke removing evergreen Pople for a well made 36. With Looms withdrawn and Willan only managing 6 balls Page S was summoned from his grazing. With pace and pace off now controlling the game Page S trapped Todd LBW. With Dyke bowling a threatening 12 over spell Wale was introduced. Bells end came with a smart return catch by Page S.

With a break for a refreshing hail storm, play restarted without loss to the overs. With Wale not finding his range and the eye of the storming passing Mcdonald was next to join the fun. Mcdonald seems to have developed the ability of removing dangerous batsmen with complete rubbish. Meredeth had to be helped from the crease after a skier was safely taken by the skipper. Page S finishing a fine spell only conceding 23 runs from 12 overs. With bowlers struggling with muscle pulls Waqas entered the fray and removed Wright caught well by Wagstaff. Mcdonald now back to the bowler of old the stumps were sent flying twice and a fine catch by Fleetwood bringing the Cosby innings to an end. 171 all out.

In the conditions a fine opening effort from Dyke backed up well by Page S and Mcdonald. Catches taken well and a total the powerful looking 2s should be capable of chasing. Excellent tea was taken and play resumed on time.

Old friends reunited at the top of the ordered. Sadly Fleetwood and Page M both removed caught behind the wicket by the keen Pople. With Waqas and Hendry now at the crease and the score 8 for 2 how would these 2 power houses tackle the chase. Waqas electing not to take guard did not fill the skipper/umpire with hope. However Hendry again taking control of the situation keeping out the good ball and dismissing anything off line with a huge flow of the bat the run rate increased. Waqas playing straight and gaining confidence.

With Hendry bowled for a well made 35 Wagstaff joined Waqas. A fine partnership developed both players finding the ropes the ease. With Waqas passing 50 with 3 towering sixes and spare balls being sent for Wagstaff was removed for 25. Mcdonald fresh from taking 5 joined Waqas with the total in sight. With 30 required Mcdonald was adjudged LBW. With the snooker now gripping Dyke arrived and with the skippers instructions ringing in his ears made easy work of the runs. Waqas finishing on a brutal 79no and Dyke 12no.

A fine run chase by the powerful 2s middle order with 12 overs to spare.

Man of the match. Joint.

Mcdonald and Waqas.
