On a day which the met office predicted showers all day the home skipper won the toss and put Melton into Bat, Down came the rain not heavy enough to go off but enough to disrupt the bowlers and fielders allowing Melton to get off to a flier scoring at a comfortable 5 an over, the skip changed the attack bringing in happy meal to hopefully break the partnership and after some in-different bowling to managed to get the dangerous Potter to drag a wide one onto the stumps,Happy Meal then claimed another wicket in his third over and Sharpey finally claimed his first wicket of the current season in his last over of his spell, Sharpey bowled much better this week than the previous one in his opening spell and deserved his wicket, the skipper came into the attack and bowled tight lines( his figures after 8 overs of his spell were 2-9) at the other end thou ash tried his luck at bowling spin but things didn't go so well until he ditched that attempt and reverted back to seam up this bought a change of luck for ash as he claimed 2 wickets. Melton thou kept chipping away and a couple of dropped catches towards the end proved a little costly, Melton ended up 208-8.
Sadly it all went downhill from there with the Niffy being reduced to 31-6 in a short space of time, Only Muggle with his Power hitting really made in roads into the Melton Bowlers and was unfortunate to pick out the fielder on the boundary who was 7 foot tall, the skipper provided some cheer for the Niffy with 4 boundaries on the trot before running his self out to put an end to the misery
We know where we need to improve, time to get our heads down and start hopefully putting runs on the board and holding our catches at the important times
