with six changes from the winning side the previous week this game was always going to be tough and with the skipper losing the toss and being invited to bat on a new very green wicket it was going to be hard and so it proved. After 15 overs the Niffy score stood proudly at 30-2 with the batsmen finding it hard to score runs. Eventually a total of 146 all out was made with Will digging in with 37 which under the circumstances at least gave the bowlers something to try and go at.
But it wasn't to be as the opening Bitteswell batsmen came out swinging and with various edges and a couple of missed chances the game was soon taken away.
Rowan claimed his first second team wicket after a fine running catch by joe on the boundary and Matt McDonald once again showed he likes bowling against Bitteswell by claiming a wicket.
Although Bitteswell were 3 players light of their full first team (once again scratched their second team game) they were far to strong, this is proving to be a very frustrating season where it is quite clear to see there is 4-5 teams in this pyramid league who should be playing higher up the leagues. Trying to remain positive is getting harder
