the Niffy frustrate the leaders

With a varied weather front Niffy's returning skipper Dave Sharpe won the toss and put the home side into bat, Langtons got off to a decent start until Joey claimed a wicket in his final over of his spell with Deggy's claiming a good catch. during the next 9 overs it was the Gibbo show as he claimed 4 wickets in 5 overs for only 21 runs, leaving the home side on 109-5 but then the rain came and each side lost 5 overs. The break disrupted Liam's Bowling and unfortunately his next 3 overs ruined his earlier fine figures,but Rich Sharpe was bowling his usual tight lines and the home side struggled at times to get him away, Rich finished up taking 3-29 a fine effort and when Joey held onto a good catch in the deep off Jame's the home side were all out for 217, A fine effort by the Niffy on a difficult track to bowl on giving little assistance to the bowlers. After a sparse tea the Niffy got off to a steady start until Degg's snicked off bringing Willy to the crease, The runs were hard to come by and when willy was out the skip sent in the Wildcard to hopefully spark a increase in the run rate but it wasn't to be as Hayden was out without troubling the scorecard. The Skip entered the fray and with Badger they slowly started putting runs on the board, Badger reaching a fine 50, But Zuber and Dukanwlna for the home side were proving tough to get away and between them they claimed 6 of the wickets to fall, The acting skip adding 34 and Badger playing a fine returning innings of 74 to see him re-promoted back to the first team this coming week, Joey hit a boundary which men't the Niffy started claiming draw points and see out the innings to frustrate the home side. It was pleasing for the skipper to once again see the lad's put up a resolute display and hopefully we can once again find the winning formula this saturday.
