Another poor batting display proves costly

on a hard green wicket the Niffy wanted to bat first but it wasn't to be as the coin fell on the wrong side and Dunton duly put the Niffy into bat, And the decision proved correct as wickets steadily fell, first Jono then Derek were bowled by Dunton's Miller, Benny was unlucky in his dismissal as one kept very low and Miller claimed his forth when Smig snicked off for a well played 27. Dunton's bowling change proved costly thou as Clarke claimed 5 wickets for only 13 runs, with only Waggy offering some resistance to end up 13 not out. A very disappointing batting display again which has been the story of the season on more than one occassion. The boys need to learn to dig in and make things tough for the bowling side, again this left the injured skipper slightly frustrated.

But credit where it is due the Niffy made it hard for Dunton, Joey got the dangerous Miller to play on and then got a hand to the ball as it was about to whiz by him and ran out the unfortunate Dunton skipper. But then Dunton edged towards Victory as Desai found the boundary frequently. He was dropped on his way to his 28 runs which proved costly as 3 quick wickets gave Dunton the wobbles,But another dropped catch let them off the hook and they reached the total with a boundary. New addition |James bowled nicely and the returning gibbo claimed 2 wickets.
