Bassett ave once again missed most of the heavy rain that was washing out many of the weekends fixtures and only 4 overs were lost, The home skipper lost the toss and the niffy were put into bat, Willy found it tough going and was soon back in the hutch edging one behind, Tommy looking fresh after his two weeks spent in the sun set about the banks bowlers swiftly moving onto 38 until he was adjudged to be run out and this kick started another mid order collapse,Niffy's score was 60 when tom was out, the next seven wickets fell for only 24 runs leaving the bowlers once again with not much to try and defend for the team.Sadly the Bank's batsmen made short work of the required total needing only 16 overs to reach the total with only one wicket to fall.
On the plus side young Matt Sharpe once again bowled very well making it impossible for the skipper to leave him out for this weeks game, But sadly that was the only plus on a day that the Niffy need to forget about quickly and get back to finding the team effort and spirit that sadly lacked on Saturday. So onto Narborough we go with things to put right.
