Winning run continues

on a fine warm day the decision was made to bowl first if winning the toss which the skip duly did and with the return of Mr Toon bolstering the side the decision to bowl first was justified as his bowling took 2 early wickets and with joey also taking a wicket the home side were shaken, A dropped catch then proved to be costly as Kotecha went on to finish 93 not out in a well played innings, With Gibbo and Garry taking a wicket each in there respective spells Niffy were keeping the home batsmen in check, the skip joined the attack towards the end taking 2 wickets and with joey bowling at the death with some fine change up bowling Leicester Banks were restricted to 181-9, A target which everyone felt was well within reach, Tommy and Willy started of well until will top edged one, and then after a positive start from Garry he missed a straight one leaving the Niffy on 45-2, The VC then joined Tommy both batted with great assurance make full use of an aging Leicester Banks side pushing the quick singles when they dropped out to protect the boundaries and they hitting over the top when they moved in, Tommy reached his 50 quickly followed by Dave with 2 huge sixes, Dave then was caught with just 6 runs required for a very well played 57, putting on a 132 run partnership sealing another winning performance, Tommy Smith once again proving what a quality batsman he is with another not out performance of 83 and he will be a big loss over the next few weeks for his exam leave.
