after winning the toss Burbage decided to bat on yet another superb wicket, and the decision was justified with a solid opening partnership until joey's persistence finally paying off removing both openers with good catches being held by wilmott and gibbs, waggy then got his rewards taking 3 wickets in his last 4 overs for only 5 runs,The skippers wildcard then finally bowled a straight one to claim his first wicket in a good spell of bowling But then Williams and Harrison dug in and slowly pushed on the run rate with williams ending on 57 not out and harrison 61 not out burbage posted 218-6, tommy and willy then set about the burbage attack until willy fell for a well played 24, the VC then was removed LBW with the umpires finger going up before the bowler had finished his follow through, the wildcard then entered the fray hitting 3 nice boundries before missing a straight one, at the other end thomas was showing a mature head way beyond his young age as batsmen came and went at regular intervals. Tommy saw out the innings finishing on a fine 74 not out to take the performance of the day, with the skip missing 3 of his top 5 batsmen he was proud of the performance that the lads put in, and again would like to thank Joe Grundy, James Wilmott and Tom Muggleton for stepping in when needed.
