On a rain effected day, Countesthorpe were put into bat and were cruising along at 100-2. Matt McDonald, promoted to open the batting top scored with a fluent 47. Will Buckley scoring 32.
Zed (26)at number three looked in control before smashing a sweep shot to the man at 45. Tyler the only other batsman to reach double figures in a collapse that saw Countesthorpe bowled out for 152.
An early wicket for Muggle had YMA at 6-1 from 2 overs when the rain fell.

Calculations were done and the revised target was 128 from 35 overs.

Tom and Joe Hawker continued, Tom unlucky with some lovely swing bowling. A change was made and Toony and Hawker continued. YMA built partnerships, with both bowlers bowling economically. Joe the stand out bowler (12-4-23-2). Toony supporting at the other end (8-0-27-0).
As the partnership(s) grew, a couple of lofty shots evaded the fielders and YMA got across the line.

A much better performance from the boys, spirited in defeat. Every player gave 100% despite carrying some injuries.
