Banks move out of relegation zone

It looked a good toss to win, with Rich and Tom finding early rhythm. Rich had Keshav caught behind, but N Patel was dropped early on. Nai also received a life and both went on to hit a string of boundaries before being dismissed. Tom bowled 12 overs straight through in his best spell for the club, being rewarded with 2 wickets in his final over, finishing with 3-45

Toony and Thorpey both had chances grounded but both took middle order wickets as Banks slumped to 147-8 Chauhan and Nitin then put on 57 in stand that changed the course of the game as Banks finished on a respectable 206-9 on a wicket giving the bowlers some assistance.

In reply Will went in the second over run out by a direct hit, but after the mix up Ben looked in command, however a concerted appeal by Banks saw the umpire raise his finger and Ben was on his way LBW. Wickets then fell regularly as the required rate increased. A Patel had remarkable figures of 10.1 overs 4 for 8 and finished the innings in short time as Countesthorpe were bowled out for 113

A case of what might have been but with only 3 games left things look increasingly precarious
