Sileby dish out a lesson

Jonny started in fine form scoring the first 17 runs before Gaz was caught at slip, Sy looked in good form, timing the ball sweetly, however Ryan Dawson came into the attack and quickly changed the game, securing 2 wickets in his first over. Jonny's 27 was the sides top score with Sy making 26 the only contributions of note. Micky Ruddle joined the attack and with Dawson returned joint figures of 9-23 with good accurate seam bowling backed up by great catching, as Countesthorpe mustered a paltry 88

In reply Sileby blazed a trail with Chris Bulmer hitting 7 fours and 2 sixes in an unbeaten half century, Rob Moore supported with 22 as Sileby took 12 overs to reach their target. To add to a poor batting display, catches were dropped as Countesthorpe spurned any chance of securing points. A disappointing performance only slightly eased by a decent tea! Next week will need some bouncebackability against a useful Ibstock team
