Waggy continued where he left off last week with an excellent opening spell, claiming the wickets of Chand and Moyes. Thorpy bowled Nourish as Billesdon slipped to 28-3 however a great stand between Tom Miles and overseas import Dylan Weeding gave Billesdon impetus. Joe Hawker then removed both and then bowled Fitzpatrick within a 3 over spell as momentum swung. Dan Snaith survived a caught behind appeal before cutting lose to as Billesdon reached 200 all out Joe finished with excellent figures of 4-42 and Waggy 3-33
In replay Gaz started well and 50 came up for the loss of just one wicket, Mitchell was bowling a tight spell and one by one the Countesthorpe middle order succumbed, with only Gaz who made 48 gaining any control. Mitchell finished with 3-33 and then Chris Elliott applied the screw taking 3-10 However the final pair of Thorpy and Joe came together with 3.5 overs to go and held out against the pace of Elliott and Blackwell. Thorpy has seen the situation times before but young Joe kept his nerve to see out the final over and show that he really does belong in the first team.
