Valiant chase falls short

David Tew likes Countesthorpe, in each of his last 3 innings he has scored a ton, today's being his season's best finishing on 114 not out, a fantastic achievement, and for most part a high quality knock, however we did manage to drop him on 4 and 77 and with the rest of Loughborough's batting not quite on form, who knows want could have happened, As it was Loughborough reached 291 with Josh Winterton adding a fine 49 Credit to Thorpy who amongst the carnage returned 2 for 33 from 12 accurate overs and was one of the unlucky bowlers when the chances went begging

In reply Richo and Eben started brilliantly, Richo particularly severe on Kyle Saddington, however the bowler eventually got his revenge bowling Rich for a quick fire 36 Wade was bowled by Tom Sheard, but Dave Sharpe was putting bat to ball with good effect as he and Eben added 51 Middling another Sharpy was very unlucky to find the only fielder on the boundary in the off side and went for 23.
