Thorpe Arnold suceed in huge run chase

On a sunny warm day it was no surprise that Ash batted on winning the toss, Gaz started with 3 crisp boundaries before being deceived by one that kept a little low. Sooty joined Luke by soon played across the line. With the score at 33-2 a certain amount of rebuilding was necessary, Luke took a liking to Alex Christie as the score passed 50 Wade had some fortune when Hickman spilled a chance, but runs started to flow.

Luke reached a deserved 50 and not long after Wade followed, boundaries started to flow before Luke was dismissed for an excellent 77
with 10 boundaries and 2 sixes. Wade looked to reach a ton in style but his great knock came to an end as Gillett held on to the chance at long off. Wade's 97 included 10 fours and 4 sixes. Badger added quick runs at the end as Countesthorpe reached a respectable 259 for 7

In replay Gillett and Evans set off cautiously but reached a 50 partnership. Waggy bowled Evans, but overseas player Hayden Murphy started well. Gillett and Murphy added 170 before Murphy was well held by Ash for 84 Gillett fell to Gaz for 97 and as a bit of panic set in Garner was run out without scoring. Hickman and Adam Clarke, however saw their team home with 8 balls to spare
