Great game enjoyed by all

Niffy Batted first and did so brilliantly, Sean Naylor opened with Tom Hill and both batsmen got into the thirties before returning to the pavilion. Hayden followed suit and got to 34 before getting caught. Next it was time for the youth and future of the club to have a bat. Both Tyler Garrard and Harry Muggleton Batted superbly well but fell agonisingly short of double figures however both setting personal bests for adult cricket. Si Garrard then came in and showed his class smashing 29*. Captain however failed to do so lasting just 2 balls, the second of which found him caught on the boundary having perfectly picked out the fielder in the deep.

A quick turn around and Niffy went out to field, the fore mentioned youth began the bowling attack, Tyler Garrard and James Maguire in his first game. It was promising to see such talent getting the opportunity to bowl at players more like 3 times their age! Tyler Garrard grabbed a wicket courtesy of a good catch by none other than Si Garrard. Tyler also earnt himself a run out with an outstanding pick up on the run and throw into the keepers gloves. J Pickering proved tricky to dismiss and it wasn't until he climbed to 75 that forever smiling Kumar clean bowled the troublesome left hander. Alas it was all to no avail as Harbrough South edged (literally) over the line with a four through second slip with just 3 balls to go.

A fantastic game which was played in great spirit by both teams who enjoyed some lovely grub back in the bulls head after the game. Thank you to all those who played and gave up their Sunday afternoon.
