Congratulations to the second XI who secured promotion after finishing second in Championship 3 South.

Although the season finished in a wet fashion as the final league game was washed our at home to Barwell 3s.

The side won 10 of their 18 games, finishing with 321 points. Not including Saturday's abandonment they went on a 4 game winning run to secure their second place finish.

Ethan Measures was the leagues 3rd highest run scorer, finishing with 523 runs at an average of 65, and a best of 104*

Ibrahim Saghir, Jake Line and Craig Hendry all also passed 300 runs for the season.

Harry Measures (25 wickets @ 25) and Craig Hendry (24 wickets @ 20) led the wickets, with Jake Line, Ethan Measures and Georgia Inkley also in double figures.

Captain Owen Stean led the way with 14 dismissals (8 catches, 6 stumpings).

The 1st XI and 3rd XI both have 2 games left in their seasons, so come along and support them in their final couple of matches.
