Here is the round up of all things Niffy for this month...
As the season starts we've had lots of exciting developments:
We also discussed the following going forward;
Firstly, we are still in need of some extra volunteers to do various roles within the club. We would like to appoint an internal communication person so that messages are clear and consistent. This person would be responsible for all emails, messages and club communication, rather than each captain and myself send out multiple messages with the same information. It would also allow the messages to be semi regular (every Monday or every Thursday) so members knew what and when to read. We believe this would help, if you can help by volunteering for this role please let me or another committee member know.
We also discussed some of the works we would like to see done around the club house. If you or a close family member has any expertise and notice a problem, or just something you can help us upgrade then please get in touch. Obviously depending on the work we are proposing that we can offer in kind sponsorship packages for work that is provided which could help your business. Any ideas, please tell a member of the committee.
We are now selling our centenary 'Niffy Ale' and the tour 50th ale so if you've not tried them maybe it's time to do so?
One small negative is that we have a large amount of money outstanding from winter nets and obviously membership fees are due soon/now. Please help us by clearing these ASAP.
We are close to confirming a couple of new sponsors, this will really help the club out, if you know anyone that might like to, your business or the company you work for please let me know.
We are running a raffle this year which will be a huge undertaking but should help the club raise valuable funds. These tickets will be sold throughout the summer and will be drawn on Presidents Day. Prizes include holidays, cricket bats, games consoles and many many more. Look out for this in the coming weeks!
Finally, this month's club person of the month is George Brister (and his Dad). Thank you for the monumental effort with the ground work in order to get the season off to a good start. This father son duo single handedly cleared all of the weeds down the nets, ready to put weed control fabric down and some stones to make it look nicer and stop them coming back!
