A tail of 2 all rounders ended with a win for Loughborough as Simon Wilson dominated with the bat despite the efforts of Thorpey. After a slow start Ed Naylor played his best cricket of the season hitting some crisp shots. Kumar upped the rate and in a 42 run put Countesthorpe in with a chance of setting a defendable score. Ed missed a Franklin long hop and will be kicking himself with a 50 begging, but young Tyler carried on the good work. Picking up singles and supporting Kumar, Tyler played a gem of an innings. Kumar holed out but again no momentum was lost as the skipper smashed a few boundaries. Tyler's classy knock came to an end on the last ball of the innings, but it was plain to see he is a talent for the future. Thorpey hit a dozen in the final over to finish 41 not out and a total of 169 represented a decent effort on a slowish pitch
In reply Thorpey took a wicket 2nd ball but Moda thrashed 36 quickly before Ed took a great catch. Thorpey then trapped Patel and Moda LBW and Ed ran out Modwhadia as Loughborough slipped to 55-5 However that man Wilson battered the change bowling all over the park. His 68 not out transformed the game and added to his 2-8 secured him the m o m award. Thorpey took 4-28 and did his utmost, but Loughborough reached their target with 11 overs in hand
