The spin twins of James and Toony reeled Kirby back in after a flying start. Toony snared Scott Hammond and Dan Kinsey whilst James dismissed Walker, and Williamson in their first spells. Matt Kinsey and Pete Smith then combined in a partnership of 120 which took the game away from C'thorpe. James returned to pick up Kinsey LBW and then a worldy of a catch by Thorpey on the cow corner boundary ended the excellent Smith innings. Craig nipped out the tail, but James with 5-56 was the pick of the bowlers.
Will played well up front, but wickets tumbled at regular intervals as the required rate grew. Dave and Toony steadied the ship but perished in the search for quick runs. Craig's cameo gained a couple of bonus points, but an all out total of 169 was a little below par. Craig top scored with 36 Sharpey 34 and Will 30 and Toony 26 were the other significant contributors
