Run Machine Ben hits another ton

Ben and Gaz put on 120 for the first wicket before Gaz was bowled just 2 short of his half century. Ben had already reached his 50 and was playing some elegant shots all around the ground.

Hayden was promoted to number 3 and boosted the scoring rate with some brutal hitting. Hayden fell just short of his 50 but his innings contained 2 maximums and five 4's. Ben continued on his way losing partners regularly reaching his ton with a huge 6 over long on. Ben Wooldridge nipped in with 5 wickets to curb the rate and Ben was run out for 107 as the innings came to a close with one ball of the 45 overs remaining

Waggy struck first ball as Ben grabbed a nick at slip, Thorpey then got in on the act almost single handedly ripping out Bardon's middle order. The dangerous Ben Wooldridge raced to 50 but Thorpey had the last laugh as Gaz held on inches from the ground at mid off

James Hunt and Toony the spin twins nipped in for a couple of wickets each and Ben capped a great day bowling Newton. Bardon slumped to 148 all out in 31 overs as Countesthorpe recorded another 30 point win to keep the team in contention. Next week sees the league leaders visit Bassett Ave
