Young Ben Sharpe continued his fantastic run of form, just failing to reach his 3rd century in 4 innings. Ben's 93 not out was the backbone of Countesthorpe's 199-8 against a powerful Barwell side. The only blemish was that Ben was involved in a run out with the skipper after they had threatened to take the Barwell attack apart adding 40 in just 7 overs.
Ady Baker nipped in with 4 wickets as the runs dried up and C'thorpe were probably a little disappointed not to have a total 30 or more runs higher. In reality it probably didn't matter as Guy Norris flayed the bowling to all parts, racing to his hundred in the 22nd over. Ady Baker supported but Norris continued thrashing anything loose, before Thorpe took a good boundary catch to clinch a wicket for Ben. Skipper Clint Baker hit a couple of decent blows before Ady Baker came out of his shell to hit the winning runs with a 6 and finish 37 not out in a convincing 9 wicket win
