After being inserted on a damp day Countesthorpe made a slow start against the seam of Crossley and Farmer. Gaz was held at slip early on which brought Will to the crease, 20 steady overs and the score reached 65 and the time had come for the expected onslaught. Ash raced in off his long run and soon had Ian Crossley well held at slip by Toony, next ball Richard Jones was hurried and edged to Waggy. George Crossley and Swann put up some middle order resistance before Toony enduced Crossley to mishit to short cover where Waggy took another catch.
