ECB Guidance explained....

Now that we have entered Step 2 (on 12th Apri), we wanted to confirm and communicate the Club's position for all of our members and visitors. We are currently in the process of updating our risk assessment however we thought it would help people to understand the rules in the meantime. These rules remain in place whilst we are in Step 2.

Spectators
- Spectators are not currently permitted at organised cricket activities (which includes games and training).
- However, this does not apply to carers for people with disabilities, or adults needed to supervise under-18s in a safeguarding role.
- An example of a safeguarding issue is where a child feels unduly anxious because their parent/guardian/carer is not close by. If this is the case, a single suitable adult can be in attendance at the child's activities if required. If the parent/guardian/carer is able to, it would be preferable for them to stay in their car.
- If you do need to be in attendance close by, those supervising adults should not mix with others from outside their household or support bubble and remain socially distanced.
- To confirm, individuals arriving with the SOLE PURPOSE of watching the cricket are NOT allowed.

Track and Trace
- As Countesthorpe Cricket Club is NOT a public open space, we have a duty to ensure that we record attendance of those interacting with the Club's facilities.
- At present, the Club House remains closed except for use of the toilets. If you do enter the Club House, use the seats provided in front of the Club House or interact with any other Club owned or operated facilities then you are required to register your attendance at the Club via one of the QR Codes (the NHS Track and Trace App or, if you do not have this, the Sprout website)
- Please note that if you are part of any organised cricket activity and a member of the Club (players, umpires, scorers or coaches) you DO NOT need to record your attendance as this will be done via the Pitchero App by either the Captains or the Coaches at the cricket activity.
- Any opponents, other officials who are not a member of the Club do however need to register their attendance at the Club

Hospitality
- Indoor hospitality facilities must remain closed at Step 2
- As we have outdoor seating, we can reopen (but have not yet) to serve customers in groups of up to 6 people or 2 households
- Customers will be required to order, be served and eat/drink while seated
- At present, the Club's bar remains closed whilst we make arrangements to comply with the rules. You will all be notified once the bar is reopened.

We hope that the above is useful and summarises the current position at the Club. Once we have updated our risk assessment, this will be published.

Stay safe and enjoy the return of cricket!
