New year, new you.....

With 2021 starting the way it has and following a recent Club survey, the Club are delighted to announce that Chris Power has agreed to provide some virtual cricket focused Strength and Conditioning sessions for all of our members and their families. We want to encourage members of ALL ages to get involved as fitness is a hugely important part of any sport.

Chris has provided the message below which introduces himself to you and explains a little about how it will all work. The first session will be on Thursday 21st January; next week!

"By way of an introduction, I'm Chris and some of you, I may have worked with previously a few years ago when I ran fitness sessions at the club. Unfortunately this is not currently something we can do for obvious reasons but your chairman, James Popplewell has asked me to start running sessions with you again remotely. My aim for these our sessions is to deliver fitness sessions with a focus towards cricket and cricket performance. This means that you can expect to improve your cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, agility, explosive power and speed. You will not need any specialist equipment to take part in the sessions other than a water bottle, towel and a mat for the floor (or a further towel for the floor for floor based exercises)

The sessions will be run over Zoom starting at 6pm each Thursday. The sessions will be 40 minutes in length comprising of a brief introduction and warm-up followed by a 30 minute training session. Everyone wishing to join the sessions will receive an email with the meeting invite link once payment for the session has been received. In order to ensure that all those wishing to join in the session receive the invite in time, I must ask that payment is received by midnight on the Wednesday prior to the session on a Thursday.

Sessions will be charged at £4 per screen (i.e. 2 people in 1 household using the same screen will pay for one screen). Please make payment to the following account details:
